The firm’s attorneys bring an expertise to outside independent workplace investigations that other investigators lack, namely a thorough knowledge of employment laws. We are able to accomplish investigations that are complete, but also incorporate the concept of “investigative fairness” which courts have considered as paramount to an agency’s reliance on investigative outcomes in making employment decisions. We are also able to prepare reports in a manner which allows the agency to maintain confidences when necessary. The firm can also provide non-attorney investigations when that is preferred, especially in the area of investigations concerning law enforcement officers, including internal investigations leading to potential discipline of a peace officer. We stay current on investigative techniques and laws through memberships such as the Association of Workplace Investigators.
