Irish C. Tapia

Irish Tapia is an associate attorney at Prentice|Long, PC. Ms. Tapia’s practice includes dependency law, public guardianships, conservatorships, contract law, and restraining orders.

Prior to joining Prentice|Long, PC, Ms. Tapia was employed with California Rural Legal Assistance for over a decade, practicing education law, including school discipline defense and independent education planning, employment law, housing law, and community benefits. Ms. Tapia served as a Deputy District Attorney for Monterey County, in misdemeanors, prior to joining our team.

Education and Activities

Ms. Tapia attended Golden Gate University School of Law, with a focus on social justice. She earned her undergraduate degree of Philosophy and Religion at San Francisco State University.

Currently, Ms. Tapia is the vice-president to her local chapter of the District English Learner Advisory Committee parent group, remaining committed to bridging the gap between underserved community members and education access. Additionally, she serves as a board member for a local arts council, focusing on youth access to the arts and community engagement.
